Lifestyle Watches are pleased to offer to market this 2025 Tudor Black Bay P01. This watch is in as new condition.
The P01 is seen as Tudor's most polarising watch and some people question why Tudor brought the P01 to Baselworld in 2019, completely out of leftfield. However, the P01 was born from a very interesting history deep in the Tudor archives. Back in 1967 the US Navy provided Tudor with a set of technical requirements for a new watch. These included: The need for a better protected crown, a bidirectional bezel that is removable for cleaning and locked spring bars. Tudor responded by creating a protoype based on their exisiting Submariner and codenamed it "Commando" Ultimately it was seen as too innovative by the US navy and the project was shelved.
However, the P01 is a similar looking watch to that original prototype, it looks like Tudor wanted to keep that original prototype look and feel. The 42mm case is entirely satin-brushed for that matt, industrial-type finish and houses the manufcature calibre MT5612 with a 70hr power reserve. Pop up hoods (end links) at either end of the case allow the bezel to be adjusted and then locked into place. Completing the design is a matte black dial with Snowflake hands and date display. All hallmarks of the Black Bay family.
Our watch is finished with a hybrid rubber and brown leather strap with mobile satin brushed steel attachments to connect the strap to the case (inspired from the prototype) and Tudor's respected deployant buckle.
