Lifestyle Watches are pleased to offer to market this stunning 2024 Rolex GMT-Master II in excellent condition.

The Rolex GMT-Master II is a legendary timepiece with a rich history. Developed for Pan American Airways, the GMT-Master was born out of a request from Pan American Airways in the 1950s. As commercial flights expanded across time zones, PanAm needed a watch that allowed pilots and navigators to track two time zones simultaneously. Rolex answered the call, creating the GMT-Master, a true tool watch for aviators.

The First GMT-Master Was Radioactive! The initial GMT-Master featured a bakelite bezel insert with 24-hour numerals. To make the markers visible in low-light conditions (such as cockpit lighting), Rolex used a luminous material—uranium. The first GMT-Master was radioactive and Rolex had to recall in the USA due to concerns about radioactivity. The Atomic Energy Commission found that the GMT-Master’s bezel had high levels of radiation and Rolex issued a press release recalling all 605 Bakelite GMT-Masters exported to the United States. They offered free bezel replacements, ensuring safety for wearers.

This is the latest iteration, also known as the 'Zombie' due to it's black and grey ceracrom bezel.
