Lifestyle Watches are pleased to bring to market this August 2011 Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant in fantastic condition. Ref:A41370.

In 1952, Willy Breitling was approached by the renowned US Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and asked to create a new chronograph for its members. He decided to develop an innovative wrist-worn instrument that would enable pilots to perform all necessary flight calculations, including average speed, distance travelled, fuel consumption, rate of climb or descent, and conversion of miles to kilometers or nautical miles. When the Navitimer was finally introduced to the AOPA, it was an instant success among the association’s members.

The Montbrillant was first introduced in 1995, in 18k gold only, but from 1996 onwards it replaced the Navitimer 92, using the same smaller screw-back case with a diameter of only 36.5mm and a 38mm bezel. Again the sliderule uses the "scientific" functions of the 1940s Chronomat, but the Montbrillant takes more design cues from that iconic model: sub-dials are typically tone in tone and the Montbrillant adds a red central seconds track that resembles the decimal tracks of the vintage Chronomat.

This being 38mm is an exceptionally easy wearing watch and for anyone with normal or slightly smaller wrists, this is a great opportunity to have a Navitimer that looks and feels great on the wrist.
