Inspired by a bespoke model of the Tudor Submariner made in the ’70s for the French Navy, the LHD Pelagos has the case flipped, putting the crown on the left side. Each LHD Pelagos is numbered on the case-back.
 
The 42mm titanium case is fully brushed, giving it a real utilitarian look and feel, the 42mm is measured across the bezel diameter, which does have a slight overhang. Inside beats Tudors in-house MT5612-LHD being a modified version of the standard Pelagos MT5612, it still retains it's chronometer status and gives a 70hr power reserve. Being a professional dive watch it's screw down and flush fitting helium escape valve give it a water resistance to a mighty 500 meters.
 
The dial on the LHD is a spiritual update on the Snowflake Submariners and has a textured satin/matte black finish. The dial has beige almost vintage looking markers harping back to an aged tritium look and the one red Pelagos line and classic roulette date wheel do make this a good looking an interesting watch. It has a matching matte black ceramic bezel.
 
The LHD comes with a brushed titanium bracelet and black rubbers dive strap that is worn with the end links from the bracelet making it a more finished looking combination. The oyster style bracelet has Tudor's innovative three step micro and spring adjustable clasp.
